Eligibility Criterion for Australia skilled Recognized Graduate Visa (Subclass 476 Visa):

Any foreign student who has acquired Degree or Qualification from Australian Universities would be considered to work in Australia, even if the student does not have any experience, provided they hold an Australia Skilled Recognized Graduate Visa (Subclass 476 Visa).

What is the eligibility criterion for this visa?
  • An individual is eligible for Subclass 476 Visa.
  • Age should be 31 years or less.
  • Must have either completed Bachelors, Masters, Doctoral or Postgraduate Diploma in Engineering.
  • Qualification should include Specialization in Chemical, Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Structural, Plant & Production, Electronics & Electrical, Material and Mining Engineering.
  • Should apply for the above visa within 2 years of completing an eligible engineering qualification from a recognized institution of Australia.
  • Must have essential English Language Skills.
  • Should meet both Health and Character requirements.
  • Previously they should have not held Skilled Recognized Graduate Visa or Temporary Graduate Visa (unless you were on dependent on a visa).
How can an individual provide proof of proficiency in English Language skills for 476 Visa?

Can Subclass 476 visa offer pathway for Permanent Residency?

Subclass 476 Visa is valid only for 18 months and it cannot be extended. There are numerous other pathways that can help individuals extend their stay and get permanent residency in the nation. These include:

Employer Nomination Scheme Visa (Subclass 186): Individuals nominated by an approved Australian employer to fill a skilled position, they can apply for this visa.
